We welcome two student groups to Dane County Parks and to the Capital Springs Recreation Area for a half day of improving prairie and woodland landscapes in support of native plants and animals.  Led by the Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area naturalist and Dane County volunteers, students will safely use tools to remove invasive alien plants.

In addition, students will take a half mile trail hike to learn about Wisconsin prairie and marsh.  Led by the naturalist and using trail guide booklets, students will explore the natural and human history of these ecosystems as well as identify some of the species that call these places home.

All age groups are welcome. If your school group or student is interested, please contact Clare to register: or 608-224-3606. Registration is  required by Friday, April 6.
